Current versions of RTIFPGA toolchain no longer support 32-bit versions. We recommend usage of Windows 圆4 and Vivado 64-bit.
The consequence is that you need to use the 64-bit tool chain when working with Windows 7 圆4 and Vivado. Please note that 32-bit version of Vivado can only be used with Windows 7 32-bit. You find the 32-bit installer xsetup.exe in \bin\nt. When using 64- bit Windows and 32-bit MATLAB, please ensure that 32-bit installer of Xilinx ISE is used. When using a 32-bit MATLAB version, you need to use 32-bit versions of Xilinx tools.
For further information, please also refer to NewFeaturesAndMigration.pdf and to point 2) of this document. MATLAB compatibility is restricted when using RTIFPGA. An overview is given in the compatibility table at point 2) of this document. This document is stored on dSPACE DVD within \Doc\Print folder.
Detailed information regarding software compatibility can be found in NewFeaturesAndMigration.pdf. XSG versions compatible with RTIFPGA depend on version of RCP&HIL/ RTIFPGA you use. In this case, please ensure that XSG is installed separately when using RTIFPGA blockset. Usage of (free of charge) WebPack-Edition is only possible when working with DS5203 LX50 or DS2655 hardware. Within installation, please select a version containing XSG. Since ISE 11 XSG is part of ISE/ Vivado installer.
Third party software required RTIFPGA requires Xilinx System Generator (XSG) and Xilinx ISE or Vivado for generation of (V)HDL code and its synthesis.
